Hotel De L'Abeille - Orléans

It's my 5th stay at the hotel, and it is a very charming place. Just watch out that you travel with very light laguage as there are many, many stairs to your room.... Besides that, the location is excellent, restaurants are close by as well as shopping facilities.

The insulation is not great, but it is an old building...

Very friendly staff. Excellent Internet connection. Outstandingly decorated (over the top wall dessins etc.) Beautiful building. Well located.

No elevator, which wasn't a problem for us.

The hotel is in an old maison de maitre each room is different - nicely furnished with antiques as is the rest of the hotel which gives it a bit of a quirky feel. For example our room - you entered through the bathroom - which was large and spacious! You get a real feel of la veille france and being in the land of joan of arc. V quaint, clean and staff are nice too. It is also centrally located. Near the main pedestrian walk way, shops, train station, main square and catherdral.

Central location. Beautiful building. Beautifully decorated,lovely furnature. Lovely staff. Right on main street and close to train station (not too close though).

Ants in room,but nothing major. As its a central hotel there's no parking. Ok to park in street on a meter,which is free after 7pm. Could have a little walk with bag.

Hospitality. Room and bathroom design. Breaklfast without time limit.

Building too old so floor made loud noises when only walking around bed.

We found the staff very pleasant and helpful, the hotel itself was very attractive with a lovely rooftop garden with an excellent breakfast and we would definitely recommend it.

The hotel and staff were wonderful in every way! They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They were extremely helpful...breakfast was wonderful and the rooms just so charming, spacious and unique. We will most certainly be back! We really enjoyed the city as well as their restaurant selections for us.

Hotel de l'Abeille is in a great location, near the center of Orleans. The staff is friendly and helpful. The steps upstairs especially to the upper floors might be difficult for older people.

I booked a superior room and a standard room. The standard room was slightly bigger and had a balcony, so wasn't exactly sure why I paid a premium for the superior room.

Beautifully redecorated, fine rooms and excellent en suite. Extremely helpful staff.

Pity there is no lift, but this is part of the old-world charm.

Lack of lift and room up on 3rd floor - luckily not a big case otherwise would have been very difficult. Bathroom very small

Room was very cold. No elevator and noone helping to carry luggage. No minibar.

Beautiful hotel with original features. Close to tram and bus and shopping. It has been in the same family for many years and is managed by the family. The welcome was excellent with the young lady taking a real interest in us and making sure we had all the information we needed.

We are pensioners with walking difficulties and were disappointed to learn after we had booked the there was no lift. Booked.net should ensure that the client has this information before booking. However in our case we called the hotel who agreed to put us on the first floor and to help with bags. It did not affect us but there appeared to be no air conditioning
